Easy Hiking Day

This morning we took it easy and slept in, we needed it. Then we went over to Fishercap Lake. This was only like a half mile. we spent a while down there, we didn't see anything, but we spent awhile talking to a couple down there. We learned how Glaciers form because one of them had just taken a geology  class.

Glaciers form when layers and layers of ice and snow get compacted down under loads of pressure. Then over the years they crystalize to form a hard ice like rock. They are also a different color than regular snow.

Later we went down and drove on Going to the Sun road. We stopped at Barring Falls and Sun Gorge.  There were beautiful falls there and there was also another lake that we stopped and took more pictures at.

Then on our way home we saw a baby moose on the side of the road, them mom spotted the mommy moose on the other side of the road. But they got reunited.

Then we ran into more bear traffic! There was a small grizzly bear right on the side of the road in the meadows. He was only about 40ft away. We got some good pictures of him!

We had a very exciting day! Now we are going to go walk around Fishercap lake again and see of we can see any moose or bears.
